Arian “Arian” Foster is reportedly in talks to join Everton on a five-year deal for around £5m.
It has been reported that the midfielder will sign a new deal at Goodison Park and is expected to sign on loan.
A source told ESPN FC that the 27-year-old is keen to stay at Everton, with the Everton manager Roberto Martinez said to be keen to strengthen his squad with the help of Arian.
Foster has scored nine goals in 26 appearances for the Blues this season, and the defender is a long-term target of Martinez.
He joined Everton from Birmingham City in January 2011 and made a combined 31 appearances for both sides, scoring twice.
He is currently sidelined with an injury, but Everton have been interested in signing the England U21 international since he joined them in 2013.AFA Cup third round replay at Wigan Athletic will be broadcast on Saturday, with Everton facing Tottenham Hotspur in the first round.
