The phrase ‘I don’t know’ has become a cliché, but it isn’t new to the art world.
But what does DALI say about it?
We sat down with artist Richard Coyle, to find out.
First things first: Richard Coyne, is Richard Collingwood, from New Zealand, an artist?
Richard Coyle says yes.
I’ve always been interested in art, but I don’t really know much about it, and I’ve been thinking about it in terms of art since I was very little, I think.
I’m quite happy with that, I guess.
When I was a kid I didn’t really think much about art at all.
But then when I was about 10 years old I got a painting by Frank Frazetta, and the painting that Frank Frazett is famous for was his The Great Gatsby.
That was an artwork that was really quite controversial in the art community at the time.
I was so proud of that, and so happy that it inspired me to create this artwork, because it’s very important to me to understand what art is all about.
It is also important to be able to say I don, I don; I’m not interested in it, but if I am then I’m happy to say it, so I’m just doing it, because I feel like that’s the right way to do it.
I have a lot of respect for Frank Frazetti, because he is such a brilliant artist, but when I saw that painting, I was just like, ‘Wow, what the hell?
This is a masterpiece of art’.
So, I remember thinking that, yeah, I do know.
You know, it’s just, I feel a bit like I’m being forced into it by society, I’m going through this thing now, but maybe it’s worth it.
I think a lot, actually, of artists feel a sense of self-importance.
I mean, I just think that a lot artists feel they’re not a great artist because they don’t get recognised, because people don’t feel that they’re good enough, they don, they think they’re a bit too far away from that sort of thing.
They are not good enough to get recognised.
But I think artists who don’t receive that sort, who don, who think they don;t get recognised for what they are, are very happy to just put their art out there, because they feel like they’re doing something.
I think that’s part of what is so important to art, is that you can be yourself, and you can let go of the expectations that society put on you.
I don!t know how that’s possible, but that’s what’s so important.
When I was growing up I didn?t really know how to make money.
I had no money at all, and that was a very bad situation, and a very sad situation.
I know that for a fact, because that’s where I started, but my mum gave me some money, and we lived on a very small, one-room flat, and my mum?s family had a farm in New Zealand.
I remember my mum saying to me, ‘I can give you the money you need for school, because you know that’s my job, I work with your parents’.
I had that in my back pocket, and she gave me $1000, and it was very, very nice money.
She was a really good, generous person, and, I mean I guess that, you know, that was the first money I ever had, so, you?re not surprised that it worked out that way.
It was very hard, and then you started making money, but then it went downhill, and from that point on, I didn;t make money at first, but as I made money, I realised I was really, really lucky to be living in a place that I did.
I?ve always lived in a very sheltered place, so my parents wouldn?t realise that I?m making money because I don?t have any money.
So I went from $1000 to $5000 in a matter of months.
t know how much money I got, because the money was from my mum, and money from my mother wasn?t enough for me to buy my own house, so that was, that?s when I had to do a bit of work, and started getting my own furniture.
I didn?,t have the money for that at the beginning, but eventually I had enough money to buy a house and then buy a car.
So, my life has been very, really, very, nice, and now I have money, so now I just feel like I have the means to do whatever I want to do.
So, what do you make of it?
